Twin City             Postcard Club
OF Minnesota

What is the Twin City Postcard Club?

An organization formed by people, from the Greater Minneapolis/Saint  Paul, Minnesota area, who enjoy the hobby of postcard collecting, trading and learning more about the hobby from each other.  We welcome everyone to join regardless of geographic location.

This website is intended to serve the members of TCPC and will be used to educate and inform those interested in the hobby called Deltiology.  Unlike many hobbies, the hobby of collecting postcards knows no seasons - we enjoy the hobby any time of the year and we meet monthly.  We, as a club, have been meeting since 1976 and would like you to consider joining us.  See the membership section for details.

Deltiologists, as postcard collectors are called, collect for a variety of reasons. Some are attracted to the postcards themselves, then narrow down their interests. Others are interested in something in particular, such as Ballet, then decide to collect Ballet related postcards as a way to augment their interest in Ballet. Others might have an interest in specific holidays (Halloween or Christmas etc) but many collectors start as a result of having an interest in their home town or another related topic. Truly, this is a hobby that can take many directions and can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Collectors may find PPCs at home in boxes, attics, or scrapbooks, generate their own on trips and vacations, and acquire them from stores, flea markets, purchasing on the Internet, or other collectors.

If you are curious about what a postcard show might look like, see the photo library.   Finally, if you want to read a few past issue newsletters, check out the newsletter archive.
